About the Role

As a Robotics Learning Partner for Special Needs Students, you will play a vital role in our free program designed to help special needs students learn robotics and STEAM. This volunteer position involves working closely with our students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), guiding them through engaging hands-on activities and fun challenges. Volunteers with iSTEAM Academy are eligible to apply for the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award, recognizing your dedication and contribution to our mission.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our expert educators to assist special needs students in understanding robotics and STEAM concepts.

  • Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to students during hands-on activities and projects.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.


Qualifications
  • Must be over 14 years old, high school and above.

  • Passion for robotics and STEAM education.

  • Empathy and understanding towards students with special needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
